19 Nov Visit to Ketu Community in Lagos

The SteerforChange team was at the Agboyin Ketu Community to extend our outreach to the Community. It was indeed eventful. Vital health information was provided to the attendees and we were also able assist pregnant women by giving them our delivery kits. 16 Aug Steer for change COVID 19 Relief Response

The covid 19 pandemic has affected a lot of pregnant and nursing mothers living in underserved communities and this has increased hunger rate in rural communities and that is why steer for change has decided to reach out to these women.

Steer for change Mother and Newborn Foundation reached out to 90 pregnant and nursing mothers in 3 different communitIes where we distributed raw food materials and our we also produced 300 customised face mask as a means to prevent the spread of covid_19.

We will continue to do our best in ensuring Mothers are kept safe this season.

11 Jun Ijora Badia Community Outreach

27 Mar First Outreach in 2021 – Bariga Outreach

On March 27th, We kicked off our first outreach of the year in Ago Egun community, Bariga Lagos Nigeria. A quick thank you for your support towards our new nutrition initiative. The program started with prenatal and post natal education for the pregnant women and nursing mothers. We had nutritionists on ground who educated the women on proper ways to feed themselves and their babies. Their weight was also checked to endure no one was underweight and general health check was done.

19 Jun Medical Outreach at Oworonsoki precious seed community

Saturday 19th of June, we were at Oworonsoki precious seed community for our Medical outreach

The event started with health education for the pregnant women and nursing mothers. We had @vediclifecare on ground and they carried out health checks on pregnant women and nursing mothers; these included blood pressure check, blood sugar test, weight check, pulse check, malaria test, urinalysis test and general consultation. 30 babies were also checked. In addition to the birth kits, baby care kits and vitamins distributed, we also gave everyone mosquitoes nets to protect mother and child from malaria.

07 Aug Outreach at Ajah Community of Lagos

We held our outreach yesterday in Ajah community of Lagos. The event started with health education for the pregnant women and nursing mothers. We had Georgesmedical on ground and they carried out health checks on the pregnant women; these included blood pressure check, blood sugar test, weight check, pulse check, urinalysis test and general consultation. They were also very kind enough to deworm the children and also donated lots of cereals for them.
