Yesterday, we had the privilege of visiting Massey Children’s Hospital in Lagos Island to assist in paying the medical bills of 7 indigent children. It was a heartwarming experience to see the smiles on the faces of the parents as we were able to alleviate their financial burden. Our first beneficiary was Rukayat Yussuf’s 13-day-old baby boy who was suffering from jaundice and sepsis. We paid a total of 14,250 for his medical bills. The second beneficiary was Jimoh Saidia’s 11-month-old baby girl, who needed an x-ray, but her mother couldn’t afford it. We paid 30,000 for the x-ray. The third beneficiary was Martina Goodluck’s 1-year-old baby who had a bacterial infection and needed a scan that her mother couldn’t afford. We paid 13,300 for the scan. The fourth beneficiary was Blessing Evaleni’s 2-year-old baby who had meningitis and had been crying since yesterday due to financial constraints. We cleared her pending bill of 24,250.
