We held our outreach yesterday in Ajah community of Lagos. The event started with health education for the pregnant women and nursing mothers. We had Georgesmedical on ground and they carried out health checks on the pregnant women; these included blood pressure check, blood sugar test, weight check, pulse check, urinalysis test and general consultation. They were also very kind enough to deworm the children and also donated lots of cereals for them.
Steerfornewborn gave out sponsored delivery kits to the pregnant women and our welcome baby care product to the nursing mothers/babies. We also gave out mosquito nets to all beneficiaries present to prevent malaria. We appreciate our sponsor @ihsnigeria, our partner @pediatricpartnershospital and all our volunteers.

Today 20th of May, we were at Ilaje Bariga community for our 3rd outreach of the year. Our work is focused on supporting pregnant women, nursing mothers, and their babies.
Our next visit was to Mother and Child Hospital, Ajah where we cleared the bills of 4 women.
It was a heartwarming experience to see the smiles on the faces of the parents as we were able to alleviate their financial burden. Our first beneficiary was Rukayat Yussuf's 13-day-old baby boy who was suffering from jaundice and sepsis.
